Android Developer - Oregon or Washington State remote

We are an agile development team seeking a mobile app developer who is a self-starter that can solve problems creatively, communicate effectively, and collaborate well with team members. We are responsible for large scale B2B/B2C e-commerce desktop and mobile sites as well as mobile apps (iOS and Android).

  • This is a remote position. But you will need to be in Oregon/Washington State 
  • No Corp to Corp
  • This is a W2 only role.
  • This is a contract to hire that will convert to FTE within 3 to 6 months.

Our projects and responsibilities are growing rapidly and we are expanding our team. This position will be responsible for the development of new mobile applications and additions to existing solutions. The ideal candidate must have experience using a variety of programming languages and technologies and a solid understanding of design and development of mobile and web applications.

The target of the role is you will be working on android and eventually iOS apps to support our internal and external customers, also the candidate will be working .NET core and Vue.js.

If you have general web development experience with any language and have primarily just done Android development that’s totally cool, but long term we would want the candidate to want to learn iOS development.

Again, this is CTH right out of the gate, no sponsorship, or C2C is going to work, it’s got to be W2 from the beginning.

Responsibilities

• Develop mobile solutions using HTML 5, Java, Kotlin

and C# .NET Objective-C, Swift

• Interact with SQL Databases

• Strong background in identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving complex problems

• Maintain and modify legacy code in existing web apps

You will be working .NET core and Vue.js.

Android Native Skills are essential.

• Research and deploy new mobile based technologies including open source technologies.

• Work with other team members to address UI or workflow issues to create mobile apps that can be used intuitively

• Support cross-browser compatibility; Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari and Firefox

• Create new and modify existing Android/iPhone apps

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience with iOS, Android
  • 1+ year Android NDK
  • Must have strong Native Android 
  • Java
  • Kotlin
  • 1+ years of experience with HTML, CSS, ASP.NET, JavaScript, or similar technologies
  • Basic understanding of responsive web design and development
  • Basic understanding of MS SQL
  • Familiarity with IDEs, Xcode, Android Studio, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code etc.
  • Experience using Git source control
  • Basic understanding of SOAP, REST and ASP.NET Core web services
  • Familiarity with GraphQL
  • Understanding of current marketplace standards, technologies, trends and apply knowledge to user experience solutions
  • Highly motivated independent thinker
  • Experience with Agile programming

• Ability to work closely with UX designers, DBAs and internal customers

• 5+ months of industry experience

This is a contract to hire position with a target conversion time frame within 6 months. Full Complete Benefits Package upon conversion.
