The Robinson Diamond Resource Group has an immediate opening for a Contract Cisco Data Center Network Engineer for one of our clients in the Dallas area.
1 year contract in Dallas with options to renew / extend as needed. This position will be on-site at our customer's location (no remote / virtual work allowed).
You would be part of a team working on a large Cisco Data Center upgrade project to include swapping out their core from Nexus 7K's to 9K's (any ACI experience is a significant plus).
The day-to-day
  • Work with the team around the architecture and actively contribute to planning activities, show confidence in setting direction for technical team members, act as a mentor and coach to the members of the team, and hiring and training of key technical resources of the team.
  • Focus on the delivery of tangible results and must act as the driving force for the project from a technical perspective.
  • Understand the complex inter play between mission critical applications and the underlying architecture of applications along with the objectives of the business to ensure technology solutions best fit the long term vision of the organization.
  • Provide senior level expertise on overall direction, guidance, definition, decisions, and priorities regarding the enterprise's overall architecture to effectively support the strategy.
  • Accountable for establishing and implementing standards that guide the design of technology solutions including architecture and implementation requiring integration of multiple platforms, operating systems and applications across the enterprise.
  • Responsible for researching, analyzing, designing, proposing and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies.
Competencies and Accomplishments
  • Cisco Nexus gear (preferably 7K as well as 9K): 4+ years.
  • Cisco Data Center (in general): 5+ years.
  • Cisco Route / Switch experience: 5+ years.
  • Cisco ACI experience is a significant plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
